Coroico, Bolivia: Day 15
English: Joey had an awesome morning message, and he said something very important: "With the little things, you use your head, and with the big things -- you have to go with your heart."
This morning we went to see the mayor of Coroico, Richard from Quilo Quilo. He is from the Mas party. Many of the elite parties ran before, but now the MAS party has been running the municipality for a long time. The mayor believes in promoting cultural values. He says that there are 120 communities in Coroico. Often, the community leaders will come to represent their interest of the community.
The mayor had positive things to say about the president (Evo Morales). Evo Morales still has the majority of the people's vote. He is still eligible to be a Candidate. He also says that it is very hard to please the people. The position that he took was very overwhelming at first, but he eventually got the hang of it soon after.
Later in the day, we did an "Ayni" project with the community. This was a joy, because we got to make the environment a cleaner place. This may not have helped much, but just knowing that this is what the group chose to do with our day was great. Afterwards, we had lunch and ice cream.

Esta mañana fuimos a ver al alcalde de Coroico, Richard de Quilo Quilo. Él es de la fiesta Mas. Muchos de los partidos de élite se presentaron antes, pero ahora el partido MAS ha estado manejando el municipio por mucho tiempo. El alcalde cree en la promoción de valores culturales.
